Common questions

Is Amazon FBA worth it for my product?
FBA makes sense when the fulfilment fee is lower than what you'd pay to ship yourself, or when the Prime badge drives enough extra sales to justify the cost. It's a bad deal for heavy, bulky, or low-price items where the flat fee eats too much margin. Run the numbers here before committing stock to FBA.
How do FBA size tiers work?
Amazon puts every product into a size tier based on its weight and dimensions. Small standard covers items up to 15.99 oz — these get the cheapest fulfilment rate. Large standard covers items up to 20 lb within standard dimensions. Anything bigger is oversize and costs significantly more to fulfil.
Are there FBA fees beyond the fulfilment fee?
Yes. Storage fees apply monthly ($0.87/cubic foot January through September, $2.40/cubic foot October through December). Aged inventory surcharges kick in after 181 days. The fulfilment fee shown here covers picking, packing, and shipping — storage is separate and adds up fast for slow-moving products.
